If you're unable to attend don't worry you don't have to miss out-you can join us in your pyjamas (no-one can see you!) with a glass of wine in hand and cheer on your favourite shortlisted companies and individuals.
Last week industry representatives attended an engagement session with the initial team tasked with scoping out Great British Nuclear (GBN) to define the key elements to ensure GBN can successfully
deliver the governments ambition for new nuclear. The next steps will take
place at pace over the coming months in order to create the foundations of GBN. Two board members of BECBC, Ivan Baldwin from Bechtel and Gary Shuttleworth from Morgan Sindall, attended which provides a great basis for
members to ensure that the key strengths and opportunities of BECBC are well
represented.
Government are looking for 8 secondees to support the development of GBN. They are looking for skilled contributors and innovative thinkers for up to 3 months with the following key requirements:
• At least 5 years’ experience in the nuclear industry.
• Good working knowledge of the challenges facing the industry, although nuclear knowledge is not essential.
• Ability to think broadly and ask the right questions, engaging with industry productively on the workstream.
• Ability to coherently express key problem statements and gather evidence from diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to synthesise a variety of data sources and use these to support evidence-based recommendations.
With presentations from Sizewell C, the Key Delivery Partners from Project and Programme Partners, Indelible Data, a panel discussion on recruitment and our wonderful egg timers this is an event not to be missed!

Future Nuclear Enabling Fund-call for stakeholder response.
Through our work on the Invest in Cumbria Alliance with local MP's, councils and third sector BECBC will be responding to the government call out to nuclear stakeholders who are not planning on bidding for the FNEF to provide information from their experience that will help to mature fund design ahead of opening the bid window in summer 2022.
