Jason Savage and Adam Pearson were pleased to sit down with The Rt Hon Hazel Blears to discuss her life and career. Hazel was a Labour MP from 1997 to 2015, representing Salford and Eccles. She held many senior positions in government, including Chairman of the Labour party between 2006 and 2007 and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government from 2007 to 2009, when she resigned. More recently Hazel has joined the Co-op Group as a board member and is involved locally in West Cumbria with the Well Whitehaven project.
