West Cumbria: Energus to expand early careers team
Energus, which manages graduate and apprenticeship programmes nationally on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and employers across the UK nuclear sector, is looking to grow its team to attract and nurture future talent.
The expansion aims to meet the demand for skills and expertise within the nuclear industry, ensuring a smooth integration of 'fresh perspectives and cutting-edge expertise'.
Energus hopes to foster strong partnerships with local and regional educational establishments to develop and retain future talent, highlighting the career opportunities available.
Craig Ivison, head of people and skills at Energus, said: "As the demand for talent within the nuclear industry grows, we want to make sure that we stay on the front foot of not only attracting new talent through our graduate scheme, but also retaining emerging talent.
"It is clear that there is a growing skills gap, and we are committed to working with our partners to help fulfil this."
To assist with the recruitment for these vacancies, Energus has teamed up with Cumbrian HR consultancy firm, Realise HR.
Martin Norris, head of recruitment at Realise HR, said: "Realise HR is committed to nurturing both the current and future talent pool in our region.
"We are delighted to be supporting Energus increase capacity within its early careers team so they can continue doing what they do best, delivering award-winning graduate and apprenticeship programmes.
"We are proud to be working with Energus on these newly created roles and will be proactively looking for the right candidates."
