The Journey Continues: Delkia's Team Expands Three New Senior Engineers and a Work Experience Student Join the Team. We Welcome back Lancaster University Intern.
Delkia, specialist systems integrator, has recently appointed three senior engineers: two EC&I engineers and an Avionics engineer, and welcome back an intern. In addition, we also welcome our recent work experience student, Rebecca Young.
Delkia have grown significantly since 2020; escalating from 15 to 56 employees, including the addition of 37 consultant engineers, accompanied by an increased turnover of £6.4M to £7.3M. This has led to Delkia growing its staff numbers within variety of departments. This has led to Delkia expanding its staff numbers across different departments.
Craig Henderson, Senior EC&I Engineer plays a crucial role in Egremont, by implementing electronic solutions to our projects. With a background as an RPI Mechanic at Cavendish Nuclear, he has experience in fixing and configuring various radiation monitoring equipment. He said: ‘Delkia interested me as they are a young company that is making great strides forward to becoming a major player in the engineering industry.’
Kevin Montfort, Senior EC&I Engineer recently joined Delkia and will be working from his home office. Kevin's role entails: Digital and design engineering, system integration, technical consultancy, and complex control systems support. He said: ‘I was interested in the job location, type, vision, values, and the benefits at Delkia. The interviewing process was relaxed, positive and matched the company values.’
Sam Southwell has joined Delkia Preston as an Avionics Systems Engineer, with 28 years of experience. He spent 22 years with the Royal Airforce and 16 years at Synthesis where he specialised in secure comms and tactical data links. Sam said: ‘I was looking for a new challenge and it was time to go back to where I started as part of the bigger picture of avionics.
We welcome back Aaron Kelly, who joins us from Lancaster University where he is studying Computer Science BSc (Hons) degree reading Systems and Security. He has joined back as an intern on a part time basis to support with IT systems across the business, anything from helpdesk to development. He said: ‘I chose Delkia because of the variety of work on offer and the number of interesting sectors the company is involved in.’
