Peterson Energy Logistics supports community projects
Peterson Energy Logistics’ team based at Lillyhall has supported the North Lakes Foodbank through volunteering and fundraising efforts.
Seven team members spent 200 hours delivering 230 crates of food to local families over the Christmas and Easter breaks. These efforts will continue over the upcoming school summer holidays. The team’s logistic expertise was also used by Cumberland County Council in organising and delivering 100 hampers.
Jason Hendry, Managing Director for England and Renewables Strategy at Peterson, said:
“We are pleased to have been able to play a role in these initiatives and make a positive difference in our community.
“The team has taken a great deal of personal satisfaction in helping those in need and the feedback we’ve received from our charity partners has been extremely positive. We look forward to working on these initiatives on an ongoing basis to make a lasting impact in the local area.”
As well as its commitment to local foodbank support services, £4000 was also donated to Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and an internal awareness event was held for staff.
