NHS launches £500m transport infrastructure framework

NHS bosses have started the procurement race for a new £500m framework covering plans for sustainable transport and infrastructure investment across the country.

Lots under the deal cover a host of investment plans including £150m of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and £180m of car park design, build and finance work.

The new sustainable car parks will “incorporate new methods such as Modern Methods of Construction, materials and components that have low or zero carbon output, into the design and build process.”

The framework is being organised by NHS Shared Business Services and procurement documents are available here.

Potential bidders must express their interest by April 3.
