New Skills Bootcamps get under way at Lakes College

LAKES College has welcomed the first cohort of learners on its new Skills Bootcamps courses, designed to teach vital skills for employees and help fast-track to interviews with local employers for those looking for work.

Learners began the new welding and computer aided design courses this week, enjoying induction sessions on the college's campus.

The 16-week Skills Bootcamp courses, which are free to people who meet specific criteria, are also offered by the college in areas such as computer aided design (CAD), cyber security skills, robotics, joinery, brickwork, PLCs and embedded systems.
