DM Engineering Ltd Joins the CORE Nuclear Group
We are pleased to announce that DM Engineering Ltd has officially joined the CORE Nuclear Group of companies. This exciting move marks a significant milestone in both our continued growth and our strategic commitment to the nuclear industry.
As one of our key suppliers, we have worked closely with DM Engineering for almost five years, we have watched as the company has grown its capabilities and expanded its capacity. This new chapter will allow us to support DM Engineering in taking the next significant step in their development. A key part of this evolution is their relocation to new, significantly larger premises in Maryport, alongside a major investment in state-of-the-art CNC machinery.
We are also pleased to confirm that Darren Martin, the founder and Managing Director of DM Engineering, will continue in his role, retaining his position as a significant shareholder in the business. Darren and the talented team at DM Engineering will work closely with the CORE Nuclear team to drive improvements in quality, finance, project management, and reporting systems, ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed the high expectations of our customers.
The investment from CORE Nuclear has been made with the strategic goal of securing our supply chain, ensuring the reliable delivery of precision-machined components to customers across the nuclear sector. As the nuclear industry continues to evolve, we believe that developing and enhancing local capabilities in Cumbria is critical to meeting the growing needs of our clients.
John and Darren have been friends and colleagues for many years, having attended school together in Maryport just one year apart. This longstanding relationship has already fostered an open, transparent, and highly effective working dynamic that is quickly driving impactful changes within the business.
