Delkia Welcomes New Apprentices
Delkia, recent winner of Growing Business of the Year in the BECBC Business Awards, is thrilled to welcome two new apprentices, Darcey and Ashlee. This marks another step in the company’s commitment to nurturing young talent in the engineering sector. Both apprentices will gain hands-on experience in their respective fields while working alongside experienced professionals at Delkia.
Ashlee is undertaking a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, studying one day a week at Lakes College. Her journey with Delkia began during Year 10, when she completed her work experience with the company. Inspired by the positive environment and supportive team, she chose to return as an apprentice. Ashlee shares: “I loved the environment and the kindness from everyone during my work experience, and now I’m back to complete my apprenticeship.”
Darcey has joined Delkia as a Project Management Degree Apprentice. She is studying one day a week at the University of Cumbria and previously studied A-Level Business Studies, which inspired her to pursue a career in project management. Darcey says: “Delkia provides me with new learning opportunities every day.”
Delkia is proud to invest in the next generation by offering apprentices the chance to develop their skills and grow their careers within the company. Through their contributions, these apprentices are playing a key role in supporting critical projects across highly regulated industries such as nuclear and defence.
