To support this, we welcome Beeby Bell - Business Winning Manager, Janette Baldwin – Principal Engineer, Jean Page - Principal Human Factors Consultant, Lewis Horsley - Senior Project and Operations Manager, Mitchell Ratcliffe - Avionics System Engineer, Neil Morrell - Electronic Engineer, Phillip Neath TSL - Technology and Capability Integration Engineer, Steff Clarke - Trainee Finance Manager and Zakiya Rashid - Digital Marketing Degree Apprentice.

Beeby Bell, an experienced Mechanical and Design Engineer, joins us as a Business Winning Manager, based at Delkia’s Westlakes Head Office. His role includes working on bids, tenders and business development. Beeby says: “Delkia is an exciting and rewarding place to work, with a range of tasks and projects, alongside friendly and helpful colleagues.”

Delkia’s Safety Engineering team has been strengthened with two appointments:

  • Janette Baldwin, Principal Safety Engineer, who originally started Safety Engineering at AEA Technology then later joined Thales, working on a variety of products such as ESM systems, RPAS and sonars. “I want to pass on my extensive knowledge and experience in Safety Engineering.” says Janette.
  • We also welcome Lauren Chatt – Graduate Safety Engineer, who is based in Preston. She has completed a BEng Aerospace Engineering degree at Teeside University and has always been interested in air safety and crash investigation. “I like the sense of community in Delkia. I have a lot of variety in the work I do and am excited that the company has very big ambitions.” says Lauren.

Lewis Horsley, Senior Project and Operations Manager is based at Westlakes and will be working as part of the clean energy team: “My role entails managing the ‘iron triangle’ of project cost, time, and quality to drive for the best possible outcome for Delkia and our delivery partners.” Lewis also reports that: “The support I have received from the team since starting has been second to none.”

Mitchell Ratcliffe, Avionics System Engineer has previously worked on a number of defence projects, including anti-submarine warfare, and flight physics. Mitch says: ‘I chose to work for Delkia as I liked the company's commitment to innovation and drive to grow, along with the opportunity for personal growth which makes Delkia an exciting and fulfilling choice for the next step in my career.”

Neil Morrell, an experienced Chartered Engineer, has joined Delkia as an Electronics Engineer based at Delkia’s manufacturing and integration facility in Egremont, having previously worked for companies such as Rolls Royce, Industrial Controls and Turbo Power Systems. "Delkia offered me the opportunity to get back to what I enjoyed the most about Electronic Engineering which is taking an initial concept and creating a product that meets the required specification." says Neil.

Phillip Neath has joined Delkia as a TSL (Through-Life Services) Technology and Capability Integration Engineer. He started his career at BAE Systems as an apprentice at 16 years old and has experience leading a team of specialists to design support products for Typhoon bids. Phillip says: “I am looking forward to working with people, that I know and respect at Delkia, while having the flexibility to pursue some of my hobbies.”

Based in Westlakes, Steff Clarke has joined Delkia as a Trainee Finance Manager. Steff has worked in the finance industry for 14 years, most recently as a Management Accountant. She is currently pursuing her CIMA qualification to become a Chartered Management Accountant and is AAT qualified.

Zakiya Rashid joins Delkia as a Digital Marketing Degree Apprentice, based in Preston and will be focusing on increasing the awareness of Delkia in Aerospace, Clean energy and Maritime sectors. Zakiya will be working four days a week whilst attending University of Central Lancashire once a week to complete the academic portion of her studies. Zakiya says, "I am impressed by how much Delkia values teamwork and continuously invests in their team."
