Delkia Secures Biggest Glove Box Contract Yet £M Plus Contract for 9 Glove Boxes for Cyclife Aquila Nuclear

Delkia, a specialist UK engineering & technology company for safety-related & mission-critical systems, has won a contract from Cyclife Aquila Nuclear for the design, detail, procurement, manufacture and testing of 9 glove boxes – a £M plus project. In addition, Delkia is providing the ports and transfer ports for the glove boxes. This is Delkia Clean Energy’s single biggest contract yet and reflects the full service now on offer as the company continues to grow to meet the needs of customers.

The contract includes concept design, preliminary design, detailed design, procurement, factory and customer acceptance testing, commissioning, and handover, with the units being built at Delkia’s dedicated production facilities in Egremont, Cumbria.

These glove boxes will help deliver advanced processing technology and aqueous recycling as part of the Nuclear Innovation Programme This is an integrated 5-year programme of research and innovation funded by The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to further the UK's civil nuclear power objectives as set out in the Nuclear Sector Deal.
