College reveals new apprenticeships and commercial offering
LAKES College is set to expand its offering with a range of exciting new apprenticeships and commercial courses from September 2022. The college already offers dozens of apprenticeships from Level 2 to 6 (degree level) as well as full-time and short courses, T Levels and distance learning. Working with more than 700 local and national employers, the college currently has 800 apprentices. To ensure its offering continues to meet the needs of learners and businesses, the college is now adding nine new apprenticeships and 13 new commercial courses to its portfolio. The new apprenticeships include: project controls; project management; digital marketing; corporate responsibility and sustainability; quality practitioner; pipefitting; quantity surveying; safety, health and environment; and nuclear welding inspection. Commercial courses are also set to be launched which will cover: gas cylinders; portable grinders; bench/pedestal grinders (including portable); hand tools and torque wrenches; JIB cranes; telemotive/pendant cranes; slinging and lifting; and ladder safety and inspection.
