Capula collaborates with The JCB Academy to support future talent
Industrial automation and control systems integrator for digital solutions Capula is to collaborate with The JCB Academy – supporting its continued commitment to providing greater opportunity for future engineers and business leaders.
The JCB Academy opened in 2010 and was the first of a kind school in the UK, providing world-class educational experiences to develop the engineers and business leaders of the future. Sponsored by JCB, Bentley Motors, Network Rail and Rolls-Royce, the Academy has developed a unique curriculum and learning techniques that help to develop the key skills essential for the world of work in both engineering and business disciplines.
Commenting on the partnership, Simon Robinson, Capula’s Engineering Manager said: “Working collaboratively with The JCB Academy will support us in providing even greater opportunity for future engineers. We continue to invest heavily in apprenticeships, and by working with the Academy we can raise the profile of opportunities we have within our business in specialisms covering automation and control, electrical design and manufacture, digital IOT solutions and cyber security.
In an increasingly digital world, we believe this relationship will help us to support a conveyor belt of skills for the next generation of Engineering and we are looking forward to realising the benefit of this partnership”.
Jim Bailey, The JCB Academy’s Vice Principal said: “The partnership with Capula will create some fantastic opportunities for our learners. It will be highly valuable for learners to have access to the experience and knowledge Capula has in using automation and control to create streamlined and efficient solutions across many different sectors. In a fast paced and increasing competitive market it is essential that young engineers have an awareness of what it takes to create sophisticated and efficient solutions.
We look forward to working with Capula and using their experience to help inform and develop the young engineers of tomorrow."
This collaboration will underpin Capula’s continued commitment to investing in world class learning and development and supporting local initiatives that work closely to deliver exceptional life skills to future talent.
